Two Minutes Two Times a Day

Two minutes, two times a day, everyday, always!!  We need to brush our teeth everyday for at least 2 minutes twice a day.  You need to brush the inside, the outside, the biting surfaces and the tongue.  This should take at least 2 minutes.  It is longer than it seems.  Set a timer or play a song. See how long you brush!
Be careful how you brush.  Be gentle. Be kind.  No hard scrubbing or hard toothbrushes. Start by choosing the right toothbrush.  Pick one that is soft with a small head.  This makes it easier to move around the mouth and less damaging to the gums.  Do not share your toothbrush with any one else.  Let it dry between uses.  Replace it every 3 to 4 months.
When you brush, think of brushing one tooth at a time.  Start by placing the brush at a 45 degree angle where the gum and tooth meet, flex gently and sweep down from the gum line in a flicking motion.  Repeat in the same area 5 to 10 times. Brush the chewing surfaces in a back and forth motion. Brush the tongue or use a tongue scraper from the back of the tongue to the tip of the tongue.
