Located in the CF Rideau Centre, just a short walk from the uOttawa campus, Rideau Dental Centre can help you care for your oral health so you can concentrate on studying.
Do students have dental benefits?
As a full-time student enrolled at the University of Ottawa, you may have access to benefits through your student union. To read more about the dental benefits available to you, please refer to your student union handbook.
You can also view the uOttawa Student Health Insurance page for more information on benefits available to you.
If the dental care you need is not covered by your student union policy, you may be covered as a dependent on a parent’s or partner’s health insurance plan.
Should I wait for dental care?
Attending university is an investment in your future, much like preventive dental care. By investing a small amount in routine cleanings and exams to maintain good oral health now, you could prevent the need for more invasive and expensive procedures later.
We understand that money is tight, but our team here at Rideau Dental Centre can help you to invest wisely in your smile's future.
We can create a personalized dental plan to meet your unique oral health needs, and your budget.
Do you direct bill to insurance?
If you are covered under a dental insurance plan, please bring your information with you to your appointment. Our system lets us submit your claims electronically to your insurance provider.
That said, not all insurers accept electronic claims, so please check with your insurance company beforehand.
Confused about your dental health coverage? We can help. Our administrative team can help you to understand your coverage so that you can get back to studying.
